It only comes in two sizes — which one do I take?

Go by your bust. The S fits up to about a 36" bust and the L up to about 40", and the knit gives a little on top of that. If you're right between the two, the S will sit closer to the body and the L will feel like a soft, slightly oversized layer — both are fine, it depends which you'd rather.

Does a fluffy knit like this shed?

Fluffy knits usually drop a few fibres in the first wears, and they show up most on dark clothes underneath. It settles after a wash or two. To keep it to a minimum, give it a gentle shake before wearing and keep it off anything black for the first few outings.

Is it too warm for our weather?

It's made for air-conditioning, not for the outdoors. Keep it in your bag for cold offices, malls, cinemas and flights, and take it off the moment you step outside.

How long is it?

20–21" (51–53cm) from the top of the shoulder to the hem — waist length, so it ends right around your natural waist. That's what makes it easy over high-waisted trousers, jeans or a midi skirt without covering the waistline.

Are the heart buttons sturdy?

They're pearl-effect heart buttons, sewn down the front — they're the detail of the piece, so treat them gently: unbutton rather than pulling it off over your head, and do them up before washing so they don't knock against anything.

What do I wear it with?

Over a plain tee with wide-leg trousers for work. Over a floral midi dress when the restaurant is cold. With jeans and flats on a slow weekend, buttoned all the way up so the collar sits neatly on its own.

How do I keep it looking new?

Hand wash cool with whites, or use a gentle cycle inside a laundry bag so the knit doesn't catch. Don't wring or hang it — the weight of the water stretches the shoulders — press the water out and dry it flat, out of direct sunlight. It's iron free, so there's no pressing to do.
