The lace is open — is it see-through?

No. The openwork is the design, but there's a lining underneath, so the top is fully opaque as worn. You don't need a camisole under it, and you won't need to think about it in daylight.

Which size should I take?

Go by your bust. It's cut straight, so it falls away from the body rather than following it. There's no stretch in the lace, so if you're between sizes, take the larger one.

How long is it?

Between 20 and 22 inches from the shoulder, depending on size, so it sits at the hip. The scalloped hem is meant to be seen, so we'd wear it out rather than tucked in.

Is it comfortable in the heat?

Yes — it's sleeveless and the lace is light, so there's air moving through it even with the lining. It's one of the cooler things we make, which is why it works for a full day out rather than just an evening.

What do I wear it with?

Tailored trousers or a midi skirt for something considered, jeans for a weekend. White lace already carries the outfit, so everything else can stay very plain — and a cardigan or blazer over the top handles the office aircon without hiding the neckline.

How do I keep it looking new?

Light ironing on low heat, on the reverse so the openwork and the scallops aren't pressed flat. Wash gently and separately from darker colours, hang to dry in shade, and keep it away from bleach and the tumble dryer.
