Is it nursing friendly?

Yes. The buttons run the full length of the front and they work, so it opens properly rather than just at the collar. The sash unties and reties in a moment, and the skirt stays where it is.

Will it work while I'm pregnant?

It should. The waist is cut generously and shaped by a sash rather than a fixed band, so there's room to let out as you go — and the skirt falls from the waist rather than following the body. It's one of the pieces our customers tend to wear right through and afterwards, which is rather the point.

It's white — is it see-through?

No. It's fully lined and non-sheer, which is the first thing we check on anything pale. Nothing needed underneath, and nothing to think about in daylight.

How long is it, really?

Between 49 and 50 inches from the shoulder, so it's full length rather than a midi. Our model is 158cm and it falls to her ankle. On a taller frame it will sit a little higher, closer to the top of the foot.

What's the print like up close?

Small floral motifs scattered lightly across the dress, then a proper printed border through the hem where the tiers begin. So it reads as mostly white from a distance, with the detail concentrated where the skirt moves.

How do I keep it looking new?

Light ironing on low heat, on the reverse so the tiers and the print aren't pressed flat. Wash gently and separately from darker colours, hang to dry in shade — white in particular is better kept out of direct sunlight — and keep it away from bleach and the tumble dryer.
